GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released the Rawlings/ABCA Division II All-Southeast Region teams Wednesday, featuring three student-athletes from Georgia College, including Southeast Region Player of the Year Brandon Benson (Loganville, Georgia).
AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) released the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II Softball team Wednesday, with Georgia College’s Hannah Coursey (Sugar Hill, Georgia) taking a spot on the third team.
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – In a matchup of two teams that powered through to conference tournament championships, the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Champion Georgia College Baseball team (35-15) came up short in walk-off fashion to South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Tournament Champion Lincoln Memorial University (34-18) 7-6 Friday at the NCAA Southeast Regional.

The Bobcats beat No. 28 UNC Pembroke (40-15) 6-5 in the title game, completing a four-game sweep of action in the tournament.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently released the Division II All-Region Teams, with Georgia College Softball senior Faith Flanders (Dublin, Georgia) taking a spot on the Southeast Region First Team.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Georgia College Golf squad posted their best round of the three Wednesday at the NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional, carding a plus-13 295 to finish 16th among 20 of the toughest teams in the country. The field featured the top nine teams in the nation, as the Bobcats finished the three rounds at plus-32, topping No. 8 Lee University, No. 23 Coker College and No. 15 Rollins College.
